Resident Artist - Terina Smith
Terina is a local artist from Mount Frazer here in the Scenic Rim, where she lives and creates off grid. She loves to reimagine things that are discarded, broken or past their use by date to create beautiful “something else’s”. Her body of work is extremely diverse and to achieve her visions, she welds, plasma cuts, resin pours, turns timber on her lathe, and believes she can put a hole through almost anything. Her resources include old fallen branches, old telegraph line insulators, old farm machinery parts, old teapots, old barbed wire, broken electrical items, old taps, in fact just about anything. When asked what she is going to make with something, often the answer will be “I don’t know yet”. Terina loves to share how she creates her work in the hope of inspiring others to have a go. Terina says she creates from a deep love for the human race and Mother Earth. Her work can be found in the gardens surrounding and in her gallery on the terrace.
