Our Head Chef - Elliot Platz
‘Cooking is at a glance the simplest and most gratifying of the arts, but to cook well one must love and respect food’.
Elliot Platz was born and raised in the Scenic Rim on a small family farm just outside of Harrisville.
He completed his primary and secondary schooling in Boonah before taking a position as a Farm Hand growing and cultivating produce in the local area.
Realising his passion for food, Elliot embarked on a culinary journey, where he has worked with some of the states best producers and chefs. Notably with Homage Restaurant under the Spicers Group and Blume Restaurant in Boonah before taking the leap to Kooroomba Winery.
His approach to food is to be adventurous, bring a sense of nostalgia and to be as minimal as possible, letting the produce in the region speak for itself.
